How HRexora Approaches DPDP Compliance
A plain-language look at how we handle candidate and company data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act - not a substitute for our full Privacy Policy, which remains the legal source of truth.
Built with the DPDP Act in mind from day one
HRexora is a two-sided platform connecting Indian companies and candidates, so we handle personal data on both sides of every hire. We’ve designed our data practices around the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 - not bolted on after the fact.
Only what's needed to run the hiring process
From candidates: contact details, resume/CV content, and the results of AI screening and interviews (Arjun’s match scores, Guru’s interview transcripts and scorecards). From companies: job descriptions, team accounts, and billing details for paid plans. We don’t collect more than the hiring workflow itself needs.
Candidates opt in before Guru ever calls
WhatsApp is core to how HRexora works - qualifier questions and Guru’s mock interviews both run there. A candidate only enters that flow after replying that they’re interested, and before a Guru session begins, they’re told the interview will be recorded, transcribed, and scored by AI.
Data isn't kept longer than the hiring process needs
Application and screening data is retained for the hiring process plus a reasonable period for audit purposes; Guru’s raw interview audio is deleted after a set retention window, keeping only the transcript and score. Candidates and companies can request earlier deletion at any time.
