Zoho Recruit vs HRexora: Which One Actually Screens Candidates For You?
Published
- Zoho Recruit is a broad, configurable ATS that's part of the wider Zoho suite - strong for teams already invested in Zoho's ecosystem.
- HRexora is purpose-built around five AI agents that actively screen, match, and communicate with candidates - not just track them through a pipeline.
- Zoho Recruit gives you the building blocks to design a workflow; HRexora gives you a working AI screening process out of the box, with a human approving every step.
- If you want deep customization and already run on Zoho apps, Zoho Recruit fits your stack. If you want AI doing the first pass on every resume from day one, HRexora is built for that specifically.
What is Zoho Recruit?
Zoho Recruit is Zoho’s applicant tracking and recruiting CRM, built to be highly configurable - custom pipelines, custom fields, integrations across the Zoho One suite (Zoho People, Zoho Books, Zoho Mail). It’s a general-purpose ATS that recruiting teams shape to their own process.
Why teams evaluate an alternative
Configuration takes time. Zoho Recruit’s flexibility means someone has to build the workflow - pipelines, scoring criteria, automation rules - before it does much for you.
AI is an add-on, not the core. Zoho’s AI features (resume parsing, basic matching) sit on top of a traditional ATS; they don’t replace manual screening the way a purpose-built AI agent does.
No dedicated compliance assistant. Teams asking HR-policy or compliance questions mid-hire have no in-flow assistant - that’s a separate lookup.
English-first candidate outreach. Like most global ATS platforms, candidate communication assumes English by default.
Who this is for
Teams already running on Zoho’s suite who want their ATS to plug into that ecosystem, and who have the time (or a dedicated ops person) to configure a custom workflow.
Who should NOT switch
If you’ve already built out a working Zoho Recruit pipeline that your team is comfortable with, ripping it out for a new tool has a real switching cost. Evaluate based on what’s actually broken, not novelty.
